Innovation Center

In October 2015, the COPAMEX Innovation Center (CINNCO) began operations, with the goal of growing its portfolio, as well as reaching new markets and clients around the world. CINNCO has a PILOTO (pilot) machine, which helps in the development of new products and to update technology in paper manufacture.

New Product Development is a technical department that drives these goals, offering support to the COPAMEX paper mills and the commercial areas.

The purpose of the pilot machine is to update and find better substitutes for chemical products and materials used in the manufacture of paper, whether that be for existing products or creating new structures for specialty paper. Preliminary tests are done on changes in processes and prototype development, in line with the clients’ requirements and those of the COPAMEX areas that are involved.

COPAMEX has signed more than 35 collaboration, confidentiality and development agreements with providers for the paper industry and universities in Mexico.
